Gert Hijkoop

Gert Hijkoop is a member of the apostolic team and the board of Relational Mission Netherlands, with responsibilities in the area of governance, teaching, training and care for Relational Mission churches. He is also supporting the Light House Community of pioneering leaders based in Central and Eastern Europe. Previously he served for 21 years as lead elder of a local church after working in technical research for 11 years. Gert holds an MSc degree in Engineering Mechanics and an MA degree in Mission. For the latter degree, he evaluated models for cultural differences with respect to contextualization of contemporary fivefold ministry models. Gert is married to Dorien. Together they have three children and five grandchildren.
