Gabriel Ilutiu
Gabriel Ilutiu is on staff with Sega Baptist Church in Romania.
I trusted Christ on 21 March 1999, after an evangelistic service at a local church in my hometown. I went there to meet a girl, and instead, I met Jesus.
The lives of those around me—my parents, grandparents, and the community in our church—impacted my faith. Growing up in a communist country, surrounded by restrictions and persecution, I got to see real men and women of faith. Another way of growing was by looking at God's provision, and I will always be grateful to God for how He answered my prayers and guided my steps in choosing my wife. But the miraculous way He brought our son into our lives is by far the most extraordinary event in my family.
The Forum convinced me to take ministering seriously through better organisation, more efficient communication, and taking responsibility. The Forum is the best motivator and helps me to recalibrate and further my ministry.
I am a youth leader responsible for planning, organising, and implementing activities, using church resources, logistics, and members to serve the needs of our community members, both within and outside the church. In this way, we plan to involve as many of our church members as possible, so that everyone can be part of a ministry and serve God by serving the needy and sharing the Gospel.
I have been the Vice President of the Rock of Hope Association. I have organised events, fundraising, and mission trips at Sega Baptist Church.
I think I have potential, and with guidance and mentoring, I can do much more for God. I know I need mentoring, something I have never had so far.
