Filip Krol is the President and CEO of multi-media company serving ministries worldwide.
Coming from a Christian leader's home, I knew the theory well. At the same time, It wasn't mine. I didn't enjoy reading the Bible and praying with my family. And I feared death—I knew that I wouldn't be in heaven with God if I died that day. All of this changed when I went to a youth group meeting in our church for the first time. I saw other young people who were serious about their faith, but at the same time, joyful, having a good time in worship and sharing about their lives. I realised that this God I knew so much about was real, and He wanted to have a relationship with me. That night, when I came home, I had peace and joy; all the fears were gone. I started reading the Bible, enjoyed prayer with others, and my life turned totally to God. I’m much more experienced now. I've had ups and downs, but my direction is clear, and I don't see any other way that would make sense.
I hope to learn much from others, sharing their reality and discussing that with the whole group. I also look forward to the spiritual component as well—I believe we're all working on our priorities and trying to make space for the most important things, but it's not always easy. For some time, I wanted also to invest more time in reading books. I'm not a big book reader, but I have started to see that importance. So, I'm looking forward to the reading list and the necessity to begin reading.
I am the President and CEO of a company that provides IT and multimedia services to Christian ministries in Poland and worldwide. It's owned 100% by a non-profit ministry involved in evangelism and discipleship. Its role is to support the operations of the ministry and other ministries involved in similar activities. The company started in the early 90's with music recording services and distribution. We're still involved in some of that, but the focus has changed to multimedia and internet services in the last 15 years. We employ around 30 people, and we've experienced much growth in the last 10 years. As we're getting bigger, we're looking into growing the number of customers, optimising our workflows, and introducing a more organisational structure.
My father held my current roles before me, as he founded the non-profit ministry and the company. My father is still involved as the President of the non-profit, which practically means that he is still my boss. However, he is no longer involved so much in the operations. My role has changed since I joined full-time in 2011. At first, I worked in most fields: graphic design, video shooting and editing, web development, marketing, project coordination, and more. I was keeping my hands busy with the work.
