Eszter Czotter is a recent Bible school graduate training to become a Christian counsellor.

When did you trust Christ?

It was 2013, and I was on YouTube watching a seminar on marriage that briefly described the Gospel. This touched me deeply—for the first time ever. Even though I grew up in a Catholic church, I never really understood the Gospel until that day. After that, I was never the same, I finally found peace and happiness, and I started seeking God more and more.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

After my rebirth, it took me roughly two years to find a church. Thankfully, God found a way to lead me to a church called TÉR, where I am still a member. What followed threw me into a downward spiral. One month after my baptism, my father died. To get through this difficult time, I was forced to find help and healing for my soul. Along with the help of a professional, God helped me out of my grief and find healing. More recently, I have attended Bible school, where I gained a deeper understanding of the Gospel, and I finally had words to express what has happened to me in my walk with God.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

It's a great honour, and I am extremely happy to have this opportunity to come to the European Leadership Forum! I think and hope it will help me grow in understanding people more, so I can better help those who need the hope of the Gospel.

What is your ministry?

Currently, I manage the bookshop in the Bible school I attended. I also started a library in my church, a small but impactful one. At the same time, I am learning to be a Christian counsellor with Grace Ministries, and I am mentoring several women.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

There are a lot of projects behind me where I saw God's faithfulness in my ministry. My most treasured memory is when I led a Compass course, which resulted in a second Compass course in another church. I also led a few small groups at my church and served on different teams, like the welcome team.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I have a calling to be a part of God's work by ushering the Gospel's healing into other people's lives. While there are always unknowns about the future, I do know that I have completely willing hands and an open heart for God to use me however He wishes.
