Ester Czudkova
Ester Czudkova is a doctor and the leader of the Christian Medical Association in the Czech Republic (SKZ ČR).
I grew up in a Christian family and decided to follow Jesus when I was around eight years old. Since then, I have reaffirmed that decision several times as I grew older and my understanding of Jesus, my sinfulness, and my need for Him deepened. It was not a single moment, but a process. Through this journey, I came to know Jesus as my personal Saviour and chose to serve Him.
In my Christian life, I was shaped by a great leader in my youth group who became my mentor and encouraged me to grow in spiritual gifts and leadership. Jesus transformed and restored my relationship with my sister, which had not been very good at that time. Although my medical studies were a difficult period for me, I found my faith and my relationship with Jesus to be deeply nourishing and sustaining.
I know several people who have attended ELF in the past. As the new leader of the Christian Medical Association in the Czech Republic (SKZ ČR), I see this role as both a privilege and a significant responsibility. Attending the European Leadership Forum would help me grow in leadership, gain a biblical perspective, and learn from more experienced leaders. I expect it will equip me with practical tools, encouragement, and wisdom that I can apply directly in leading and supporting our ministry and its student leaders.
During my medical studies, I joined the committee of the Christian Medical Association in the Czech Republic (SKZ ČR). Last year, I was elected as a leader of the organisation. This is a new role for me, as I had previously been part of the leadership team rather than serving as the main leader, apart from leading the Christian medical fellowship.
During my teenage years, I served on the leadership team of my youth group. Later, while studying medicine, I felt God leading me to start a Christian medical fellowship at my university. I led this community for three years, during which we organised small conferences for Christian medical students. As I was finishing my studies, I passed the leadership on to younger students. After finishing my studies and moving to Český Těšín with my husband, we began attending my husband’s church, where I joined the leadership team of the youth group for younger teenagers. I served in this ministry for about eight years, primarily focusing on mentoring girls and discipleship.
Investing in my training supports the growth of Christian medical students and young doctors in the Czech Republic. Through SKZ ČR, we help students integrate faith with their profession and prepare future leaders. My training will enable me to lead this ministry more wisely and strengthen its long-term impact.
