Enkelejda Shelburne is the Founder and CEO of Media 7 Balkans International in Albania.
When did you trust Christ?
I grew up under communism in Albania. In 1993, while I was watching the 700 program, the speaker led me to accept Christ.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
I was the first in my family to become a believer. More than a year after I became a Christian, I found only five of the New Testament books translated into Albanian. After four years, I became part of a body of believers, on fire for the Lord. At age 23, God gave me the vision to use my gifts to start my own media company.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I value partnerships and believe we all can learn from one another. We are expanding our ministry into other regions, and I want to connect with like-minded leaders.
What is your ministry?
I lead Media 7 Balkans International, a Christian media ministry. We have a radio, television, and humanitarian ministry. We started in Albania and operate with local staff in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I was a Programming Director for Radio Iliria between 1998 and 2000. I was National Director for TWR Albania, and later, I started Radio 7 in 2001, which today is a network of five radio stations in Albania, two in Kosovo and one in Macedonia. TV 7 is a 24/7 television channel broadcasting in the Albanian language in Albania and Kosovo. I also serve on boards for various Christian organisations in Albania.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I believe my life speaks for my dedication to the Kingdom of God, and my purpose in life is to glorify His name every single day I live.
