David Szarka leads a disciple-making school in Hungary, seeking to become a more effective Bible teacher.

When did you trust Christ?

I accepted Jesus as my Saviour at a summer camp in 2012 and was baptised in 2014. I grew up in a Christian family and church, so I studied the Bible my whole life. Even if not always too deeply.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope to gain confidence and clarity in leading Bible studies rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit. I expect to grow in practical skills—especially in the Manuscript Bible Study method—and to learn how to better engage diverse groups with God's Word. I also look forward to personal feedback, peer accountability, and being part of a supportive learning community. As a discipleship school leader, I want to pass on to others what I learn by equipping others in my ministry context. Ultimately, I hope to be shaped as a more faithful, thoughtful, and effective Bible teacher.

What is your ministry?

I lead a two-year discipleship school in Hungary designed to support and equip young believers for deeper spiritual maturity and active service in God's Kingdom. We walk with around 100 participants from over 30 different churches, offering weekly, in-depth teachings that build on each other. We focus on spiritual growth, healing, personal mentoring, and hands-on ministry opportunities. Students are invited through prayer and leadership discernment, and we prioritise commitment, accountability, and transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to help participants become confident representatives of God's Kingdom, boldly proclaiming the Gospel, discipling others, and ministering to those in need. We often serve together in churches, camps, and conferences, where students can safely apply what they've learned. Graduates are also offered optional mentoring to continue growing and leading in their local contexts.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Although I have not led a traditional Bible study group yet, I want to help and lead sessions in our discipleship school and in my church as well. My involvement began through a desire to help others grow in their relationship with God and to equip them with biblical truth. I've grown by studying Scripture deeply, learning from experienced leaders, and seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance. I now feel called to step more intentionally into leading structured Bible studies.
