David Sunday
David Sunday serves as the Director of Youth and Talent with Africa Christian Fellowship, teaching, mentoring, and discipling youth in his fellowship in England.
I heard the message preached one day when I was a teenager, and I went out to give my life to Christ afterwards. I kept going every time the altar call was made, but when I got to secondary school, I realised I needed to make a decision and start growing in God. So that was when I finally made the decision and started the journey with God.
I had a few friends in university who were doing well in their walk with God and still doing well academically, so it challenged me to keep my faith as I went to a university with a lot of peer pressure.
It will increase my knowledge in my ministry and help me be more effective. I also look forward to meeting like-minded people who will help sharpen me in my faith journey.
As the Director of Youth and Talent in my fellowship, I teach, mentor, and disciple our young people, sharing the Word of God with them. I also support parents by counseling a young person with behavioural issues. I organise programs to help support our youth in their social, emotional, physical, and academic lives.
As a youth officer in Scripture Union, Ghana, I visited schools, preached to young people, and helped establish Bible clubs. I also helped organise yearly camps for young people. I served as Vice President for Scripture Union Youth Evangelistic Fellowship. I helped lead the youth ministry at the Methodist Church in Ghana on campus, organising prayer meetings, Bible studies, Sunday services, and evangelism programs. As a children’s leader for my church, I planned and carried out programs for each service.
I desire to learn how to run a youth ministry successfully, teach the Scriptures to young people on their level, and mentor young people in all spheres of life. My ministry has raised up people who are now leaders and who influence the lives of those struggling with their faith.
