David Röhlig
David Röhlig is a scientist who actively shares his faith with the academic community in Germany and France.
I grew up in a Christian family and decided to follow Christ early on. I had prayed a "prayer of conversion" several times. However, until my baptism, I was unsure whether it was real.
My baptism was a momentous experience; afterwards, I had certainty of salvation. I also want to say that my grandfather has always been a role model for me. More recently, I participated in the Cambridge Scholars Network, and it greatly encouraged me to continue on my path in science for the glory of God.
I heard about the Forum through the Cambridge Scholars Network. Attending the Forum will encourage me by connecting me with a Christian network of leaders who are committed to serving others and integrating faith with profession.
I want to be a witness, share my faith with the scientific community, and start serving in my new church. I moved to France in September last year. I am still getting to know the culture and improving my French.
I have worked at many children's camps. For several years, I was the leader of our local youth group and a member of the organisation team at our church in Germany.
Christians are needed in academia. Investing in Christian scientists strengthens their presence in academic spaces and develops leaders who integrate academic excellence with a Christ-centred worldview.
