Daniel Hofkamp

I decided to follow Jesus when I was about six years old. I was raised in a Christian family. One night I talked with my parents about death, and they guided me to recognize that I needed a Saviour. I prayed with them, asking God to forgive my sins. Then I felt the presence of the Lord with me.
When I was ten, my family moved from Argentina to Spain. It was a big change in my life. I had to learn to trust God in a place where I didn't know anyone. I was baptised at 14. Four years later, I went to university to study journalism. It was an important time for strengthening my faith. I got involved in an IFES group and different ministries in my local church. God opened doors in the ministry of communications, and in 2008, I started a job at Protestante Digital, a news website with an Evangelical approach.
The Forum is an excellent place to meet people who are sharing the Gospel in innovative ways by using media. I hope to connect with them and share experiences about what God is doing.
I work as the Director of Protestante Digital. This news website platform provides an Evangelical approach to news, culture, and issues that are relevant to people in Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries. We try to connect with non-believers, present our beliefs and faith, and provide good Evangelical resources to Christians and churches in our country. The Spanish Evangelical Alliance has boosted the project since 2003.
I led a youth group in my local church for three years. I was involved in summer camps for ten years (service, coaching, preaching, and worship). I led an IFES group for two years during my time at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
We are reaching thousands of people that are visiting our website. We have 3 million visitors per year. Besides my work, I'm involved in my local church in Cangas (Galicia, Spain). I'm one of the five pastors leading in the church, with 90 members and 130 assistants.
