What is your ministry?

I am Dean of the School of Theology and Associate Professor of Applied Theology at the Baptist Theological Institute of Bucharest, Director of Leader Formation Institute and Antioch Church Network, and Teacher Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, Bucharest. Also, I am the Coordinator of the E-learning Developer Program at The Academy of Romanian Scientists and an associate member of The Academy of Romanian Scientists. I am also a Member Representative of the Baptists in the Interconfesional Bible Society in Romania and a producer and moderator of the weekly show "Theology in Actuality."

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a Christian family under the Communist regime. At 12 years old, during a church service, I realised that my life could not be saved without a Savior. I received Jesus as my Savior; I have had joy and peace in my heart since that moment. I returned home and told my parents I was a follower of Jesus.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

When I was 16 years old, a few months after being baptised, my pastor asked me to lead the church service. I was scared, but I led the time of prayer. The following week, the pastor asked me to prepare a short message for the Thursday evening service. My home church had 400 members. When I started speaking, my knees trembled, but that evening was confirmation that I should go to seminary to prepare for going into ministry.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I want to understand better the status of evangelicals in Europe and gain a better understanding of the ministry opportunities in Europe. I want to learn more about education and leadership from other theologians and leaders of Christian organisations. Finally, I want to represent my ministry, the Baptist Theological Institute of Bucharest, among European leaders.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was the pastor of Golgotha Baptist Church, Constanta, Romania, for almost 20 years. I served as one of the founders and the president of Constanta Baptist Association for eleven years. In addition, I served as the vice president of the Constanta Baptist Association for four years.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Our mission as an organisation is to help the church to be revitalised. I am teaching applied ecclesiology courses at our seminary, and my course includes church revitalisation. So I want to understand more about this topic and how others see this topic.
