Csilla Henter is the CEO of Bonus Pastor Foundation, which provides support for addiction recovery in Romania.
When did you trust Christ?
I was born into a Christian family. My father was a teacher, but he also served in our reformed church, and I would join him there every Sunday. Following Jesus was never really a question for me, as faith was a natural part of my family life and upbringing.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
My faith has been shaped by both the people around me and the experiences I’ve had. Growing up in a family devoted to God set a strong foundation, but I’ve also been encouraged by mentors and members of my church community who have guided me and inspired me to live out my faith. A defining moment came six years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. Facing that challenge strengthened my trust in God and deepened my faith, showing me His power and presence in my life in a very real way. Since then, I try to live each day with gratitude, rely on God in both big and small decisions, and share His love and hope with others.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I heard about ELF from the former CEO of my foundation. Attending the European Leadership Forum will provide opportunities to learn from experienced leaders, gain new strategies for effective ministry, and build networks with like-minded professionals. These insights will help strengthen our programs, improve the support we provide to those in recovery, and enhance the training we offer to our staff and volunteers.
What is your ministry?
The Bonus Pastor Foundation exists to support individuals seeking recovery from addiction, including alcohol, drugs, gambling, and sexual addictions, as well as their families and dependents. Our ministry is rooted in Christian faith, guiding our work through prevention, therapy, aftercare, professional training, and spiritual growth. While we openly share our faith, participation in our programs does not require belief in Jesus Christ; anyone seeking help is welcome. Through these initiatives, we aim to restore hope, strengthen families, and promote lasting recovery.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
In the past, I was working at a Christian multinational microcredit company as an Administrative Manager. I was involved in a project called More Jesus in the Company, whose aim was to focus on serving the clients in the best way and following the call of Jesus, His love, and mercy.
