Craig McGee has a teaching background and leads several ministries with an emphasis on Bible studies.

When did you trust Christ?

I was brought up in a Christian family. We had daily family readings and attended church on Sunday, but I was very aware that I was not a Christian, and my eternal destiny was not heaven. At our church youth camp one summer, we heard Philippians 1:21, and I knew that I wanted to be able to say, 'to live is Christ and to die is gain'. I spoke with a leader about this, and I then became a child of my heavenly Father.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

The teachers and preachers who have helped and inspired me have always been gripped by the Bible's message, with a desire to see people meet Jesus. By listening, observing, and talking to these leaders, I have learned how to better lead and teach, as well as become transformed myself.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope to become better equipped as a preacher, able to deliver God-honouring, Christ-centered messages that will, by the power of the Holy Spirit, transform the lives of people of all ages. I also desire that through the fellowship and mentoring of a spiritually mature community of teachers and preachers, I will grow in my faith.

What is your ministry?

I currently lead several ministries. Church Life Group and Youth Group meet weekly during term time, and Christians Against Poverty meets weekly throughout the year. This has included supporting, hosting, and leading Bible studies.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

The most challenging experience I've had is planning and delivering a series of five evangelistic Bible studies to a group that expressed an interest in learning more about the Christian faith. The majority were biblically illiterate and had some mental health issues. This proved formidable, but with the support of two other helpers at Christians Against Poverty, we enjoyed a great five weeks, with a majority attending all of the sessions.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Preaching has always been the primary means of my growth as a disciple of Jesus, along with my extensive background in teaching. I hope to become equipped as a preacher to transform lives.
