Ciprian Plesa is the National Director of Evangelism Explosion Romania, a Romanian ministry.
When did you trust Christ?
When I was seven years old, God miraculously saved me from a car accident. That experience made me realise how short life is, and soon after, I started attending church. Around the age of 16, I was regularly exposed to the Scriptures and finally understood what Jesus had truly done for me. At that moment, I accepted Him by faith as my Lord and Saviour.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
After I became a Christian, I clearly recognized God’s truth and calling for my life, and from then on, I saw myself as fully called into ministry—even while I was still working in the banking sector. I began serving with all my heart, and very soon I left my job to serve as a volunteer, dedicating myself to developing a discipleship and evangelism ministry in Romania.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
Attending the European Leadership Forum will bring valuable benefits to my ministry with Evangelism Explosion Romania. The Forum offers high-quality biblical resources and discipline-specific training from experienced leaders, which will directly enhance my ability to train and mentor church leaders for evangelism and discipleship. It will also provide strategic networking opportunities to connect with like-minded peers and partners across Europe, leading to new collaborations and ministry partnerships for greater impact
What is your ministry?
As the National Director of Evangelism Explosion Romania, I lead the ministry’s efforts to train and equip church leaders across the country in both the theory and practice of evangelism. Our team develops discipleship programs and practical training initiatives to strengthen the ability of local churches to share the Gospel. We interact with local and international partners and support leaders through ongoing mentorship, workshops, and resources for effective evangelistic outreach.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
In the past, I served as the President of Evangelism Explosion Romania. Since last year, I have taken on the responsibility of National Director.
