Bogdan Kosev is a worship leader at his church in Bulgaria and is on their apologetics team.

When did you trust Christ?

I was born into a Christian family and raised with strong Christian values. For many years, my relationship with God was shaped more by routine and tradition than by a deep personal conviction. Everything changed when I was 13 years old at a Christian summer camp. Deep down, I knew that something had to change. I realised that following Jesus required full surrender, not just a partial commitment. I made the life-changing decision to give my heart completely to Jesus. It was my turning point, the night I truly understood what it meant to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

After moving to Bulgaria’s capital, I began attending Crossroads Church Sofia, and almost immediately, I became involved in the worship ministry. This devotion and involvement in worship ministry have been instrumental in keeping me on track spiritually, helping me grow and remain steadfast in my faith over the years. Recently, I have felt that God was challenging me to let go of all my desires, plans for the future, and dreams and give them in His hands. It was not an easy decision, since they had become like an idol to me. However, with God's help, I managed to completely surrender myself to Him. I discovered I had to seek first His kingdom and serve Him.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

Over the past few years, I’ve been really diving into apologetics, trying to grow in my understanding and ability to communicate the Gospel. I’m excited about the chance to expand my knowledge, meet people with different perspectives, and learn from those who have been in the field much longer. I know that attending ELF will help me teach and share apologetics more effectively, so I can better serve my church and help others grow in their faith.

What is your ministry?

I am currently part of the worship ministry and apologetics team at Crossroads Church Sofia. We are looking forward to creating new initiatives for non-believers, such as podcasts, discussions, social experiments, and debates in the upcoming year. Through the worship team at Crossroads Church Sofia and my own band, I produce original worship music to share with broader audiences. Additionally, I am often invited to lead worship or participate in worship teams for various Christian conferences and events across the country.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I have been actively involved in worship ministry since 2014, serving in both my hometown church’s worship team and the worship team at Crossroads Church Sofia. Over the years, I have also taken the initiative to organize a youth worship team in my hometown church, leading worship nights, youth gatherings, and conferences. In 2024, I served on the leadership team for the apologetics network at Crossroads Church’s summer camp. Throughout the week, I led several discussions on key topics, helping equip and encourage others in their faith.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

My heart is to equip worship teams, mentor young believers, and help others grow in their faith, whether through worship, apologetics, or discipleship. Attending events like the European Leadership Forum will give me the tools, wisdom, and connections to bring back to my church, my worship teams, and the Christian communities I’m involved in across Bulgaria. Through worship ministry, apologetics teaching, and Christian music production, I’ve had the privilege of reaching many people each year—whether in my local churches or at national conferences and events. But beyond that, I know this journey is about multiplying the impact—equipping others, strengthening churches, and creating spaces where people can truly encounter God.
