Björn Knublauch

Björn Knublauch has been involved in youth ministry for over 30 years. Starting as a volunteer in his teen years, he studied religious studies in Hannover and was consecrated as a deacon. He was working for the SMD (German IFES-Branch) as a regional referent to supported Christian schoolwork. After that, his job life split between a social worker in a secondary school and a deacon in church leading youth ministry. He is currently working half-time as deacon for youth work in a Lutheran church and the other half as referent for missionary youthwork with Netzwerk-m, an umbrella network for more than 80 German organisations involved in evangelical work and youth ministry. Björn has led summer camps for the past 25 years, and he is president of the AGJE, the association of youth evangelists in Germany. Björn is married to Tabea, and they have three grown children and a younger child in care.
