Barbara Karasiewicz
Barbara Karasiewicz is a theologian and the Director of TCM International Institute in Poland.
I grew up in a Christian family, and from an early age, I heard the Word of God and saw my sinfulness. When I was 14, I confirmed my faith through baptism. I am grateful to my Lord that I could meet Him at such a young age and walk with Him throughout my life. Step by step, my faith grew and continues to grow every day. I entrust all my life and ministry to Jesus.
Throughout these many years of following Jesus, my life has had many breakthrough moments. They concerned life experiences, God's people I met, my ministry in the church, and my path of studying theology. One of the most challenging and very painful experiences in my life was the death of our first child. It was a lesson in trusting God. Lastly, I have been studying theology for many years. In 2019, I completed my Doctorate in Theology, my fourth degree in theology. All these studies built my faith, motivated me to pray, and taught me how to pray.
The Forum is a wonderful time to connect with people from so many countries who care so much about spreading the Gospel and building healthy churches. I expect lectures that will build me spiritually and expand my knowledge. It is incredibly motivating and encouraging. It refreshes me and gives me strength for further ministry.
I am the Director of the Christian Biblical Institute and the Polish branch of TCM International Institute. I manage a team and achieve set goals with them. Our Institute's mission as an educational centre is to support the activities of local church communities in the fields of biblical studies, Christian education, Christian publications, and the education of spiritual leaders for the contemporary church.
I have served the Church for 42 years, including 27 years as a pastor's wife. I have been managing work and teaching among children and young people for many years. I have led and taught women for many years. Lastly, I have served as an academic lecturer for several years.
I'm constantly open to learning and gaining new experiences to help me in my ministry. Christian education is my passion, and I know how important it is for leaders to be well-prepared. That is why it would be worth supporting such a ministry in such an institution. I think it's because I can work hard and am not discouraged by difficulties.
