Artur Grybek is an elder and provides flexible and strategic leadership for First Baptist Church in Gdańsk, Poland.

When did you trust Christ?

When I started reading the Bible, I was convicted of my sins and was saved in 1989. Initially, I had no one to disciple me, but then I met some people from the German Baptist Church and later the Gdańsk Baptist Church. I was baptised in 2004.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Leading home Bible study groups for many years and following godly teachers have impacted my Christian walk the most.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I expect the program to help me grow in both depth and direction as a Christian leader. I serve in multiple roles – as an elder, Bible study leader, media coordinator, and missions supporter – and I’m increasingly aware that faithfulness in leadership requires more than commitment and energy; it requires wisdom, intentionality, and the ability to invest in others. One of the greatest needs in our church right now is the development of future leaders, especially those who can lead Bible study groups and serve in new ministry areas. I hope this YRM will equip me to multiply leadership, not just sustain what already exists. I want to learn how to build others up with vision, patience, and clarity, and how to create a healthy foundation for long-term ministry growth. At the same time, I come with a desire to discover what I may be missing – areas of organizational development, discipleship, or team building that I haven’t yet seen or understood. I’m looking forward to the peer learning, biblical teaching, and mentorship that YRM offers, as well as the spiritual refreshment that comes from journeying with others who share the same passion for Christ and His Church. Ultimately, I hope to become a wiser, more fruitful, and more Christ-centered leader, equipped to serve both my local church and the wider mission more effectively.

What is your ministry?

I am a Special Task Force Elder at the First Baptist Church in Gdańsk, providing flexible and strategic leadership in areas where I can best support the church’s mission. Though I am not formally ordained as an elder, I have been entrusted by our leadership and congregation with special responsibilities that allow me to serve in ways that align with my gifts and passions.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

In my local church, I have continued to serve as a task force elder, the leader of Humanitarian and Mission Aid to Ukraine, a multimedia leader, and a home Bible study group leader. I am a husband and the father of four children.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am seeking to grow and mature as a Christian and further develop my leadership skills.
