Arnold Šetet
Arnold Šetet is a pastor in Serbia.
It was in April 2001 that I went to church for the first time, and from that day on, I have been attending, growing in faith, and serving in ministry!
Several defining moments of my Christian walk have been shaped through intentional relationships and mentoring. In a later season of my life and ministry, a friend became a trusted mentor who invested in me through encouragement, honest counsel, and accountability. His guidance helped me grow in spiritual maturity, leadership discernment, and dependence on God, especially during seasons of responsibility and challenge. Also, my pastor, before he died, invested in my life as a spiritual father, and also taught me a lot about the ministry! Alongside this, various ministry situations – leading people, serving youth, and responding to real needs in the community – have stretched my faith and deepened my conviction that Christian leadership is relational, Christ-centred, and focused on serving and developing others.
My personal expectations and goals for this Year-Round Mentoring are to grow deeper in intentional disciple-making, strengthen my leadership through accountability and mentorship, and gain practical tools I can apply directly within my local church.
I am the lead pastor of my church. I'm also an Elder in Christ Evangelical Churches, where I visit and help pastors in the area and mentor young couples in our church to grow in ministry!
I started as a helper in the church, but as I grew, I became a youth leader, participated in worship on bass guitar, later served as an elder in the church, and visited smaller churches in our area.
Some individuals may choose to invest in my training and ministry because what they support will be multiplied beyond me. I am actively involved in local church leadership, youth development, and community-focused ministry, where I intentionally pass on what I receive to others. An investment in my training strengthens not only my personal leadership but also the leaders, young people, and families I serve. I am committed to long-term faithfulness, relational leadership, and building sustainable ministry that equips others to live out the Gospel in practical and transformative ways.
