Arnold Šetet is a pastor in Serbia.

When did you trust Christ?

It was in April 2001 that I went to church for the first time, and from that day on, I have been attending, growing in faith, and serving in ministry!

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Several defining moments of my Christian walk have been shaped through intentional relationships and mentoring. In a later season of my life and ministry, a friend became a trusted mentor who invested in me through encouragement, honest counsel, and accountability. His guidance helped me grow in spiritual maturity, leadership discernment, and dependence on God, especially during seasons of responsibility and challenge. Also, my pastor, before he died, invested in my life as a spiritual father, and also taught me a lot about the ministry! Alongside this, various ministry situations—leading people, serving youth, and responding to real needs in the community—have stretched my faith and deepened my conviction that Christian leadership is relational, Christ-centred, and focused on serving and developing others.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I expect attending the European Leadership Forum will strengthen my ministry by equipping me with biblical insight, practical tools, and strategic encouragement for church and community leadership. The opportunity to learn from experienced leaders and engage with peers across Europe will help me lead with greater clarity, wisdom, and faithfulness in my local context. I also see ELF as an opportunity to build relationships that will sharpen my vision and enable me to multiply what I receive—investing it into youth, emerging leaders, and the wider church community I serve.

What is your ministry?

I am the lead pastor of my church. I'm also an Elder in Christ Evangelical Churches, visiting and helping pastors in the area, and mentoring young couples in our church to grow into ministry!

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I started as a helper in the church, but as I grew, I became a youth leader, participated in worship on bass guitar, later served as an elder in the church, and visited smaller churches in our area.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Some individuals may choose to invest in my training and ministry because what they support will be multiplied beyond me. I am actively involved in local church leadership, youth development, and community-focused ministry, where what I receive is intentionally passed on to others. An investment in my training strengthens not only my personal leadership but also the leaders, young people, and families I serve. I am committed to long-term faithfulness, relational leadership, and building sustainable ministry that equips others to live out the gospel in practical and transformative ways.
