Alexandra Bagi

Alexandra Bagi is a communication specialist for Youth Builders in Hungary.
When I was 7 years old, my mother died of cancer, and my father enrolled me in a Bible course. When he remarried, I started attending a religious school, including the school's weekly youth club. I started to be very interested in Jesus and His life. I have now known Jesus for almost 20 years. In the last 2 years, I had some severe changes in my life and became desperate to know Jesus better. I pray and read the Bible each morning. In times of prayer, I often feel Jesus' presence. He answers my prayers and, though I did not earn His protection or love, He is always there for me. God has used my darkest times to pull me closer to Him.
The defining moments in my life have been the death of my mother, depression, and the break-up of a 9-year-long relationship. I am a youth leader in our church. I see faith in the youth growing and the fruit developing in their lives. Recently, God gave me clear answers about why I should leave my corporate job and continue to depend more on Him financially in my current position.
I hope to learn new skills and perspectives on being a Godly leader.
I lead a Youth Builders club each Friday and organize events for them, as well as serve on the communication and content creation team. After their confirmation, young people often leave the Church, and it is our desire to see that number decrease. In the army of God, we need more young and engaged people who can see the Lord's work in their lives. Youth need to feel that they belong in the local church community and are beloved, important, and valuable. Our ministry wants to make a community where young people believe they are an important part of God's body who are counted, worthy, and beloved.
For several years, I have been a youth leader in the local church for 15-20 teenagers. I also am a leader for a girls' club that meets every other month.
God called me to leave my corporate job and serve Him with my talents. I stepped out in faith, but the salary is very low. Before leaving the corporate job and applying for my current job, I made a personal budget. I have to count my spending very strictly and rely on God. Without a scholarship, I will not be able to attend the Forum. Thank you for the opportunity!
