Alena Kunovská is a leader with In-Life, focused on ministry to both believers and non-believers in the Czech Republic.
When did you trust Christ?
During my college studies, I attended meetings put on by In-Life where I heard the Gospel for the first time. Gradually, I started to read the Bible and study it in a small group. After two months, I decided to invite Jesus into my life. I was overwhelmed by His love and by His death for me on the cross. He released me from the fear of death, and He helped me to love others.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
The biggest help was having someone there for me, an example to me, who rebuked me and taught me. With In-Life, I had opportunities to study the Bible and to get to know the Lord more. I also learned how to explain the Gospel to others and how to take care of others spiritually.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
Participating in the European Leadership Forum can help me better serve unbelieving people, expand my vision in ministry, and encourage me in how God is working in Europe and the world. Also, participation equips me with concrete skills to study the Bible, lead people, and encourages me in my relationship with God. It's an opportunity for me to meet new people and ministries, and it has been a great source of inspiration for my ministry.
What is your ministry?
At In-Life, I mentor people and lead a Bible study group. I am also on the leadership team of volunteer leaders in our organisation. My other duties include managing the website and public relations along with my colleagues. One of the largest parts of my job is organising events for both believers and non-believers.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I was the In-Life Regional Director for Olomouc for three years. After that, I served on the In-Life leadership team in Brno for 10 years. At the same time, I led several discipleship groups.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I wish everyone could hear the good news about Jesus Christ and could have a chance to give their lives to Him. At the same time, my small groups and discipleship help young believers grow as disciples of the Lord Jesus, who can go on to build others.
