Ahrum Yoo

Ahrum Yoo was born and raised in South Korea, lived in Indonesia, and later moved to the United States for college. She studied Economics and East Asian Studies at Smith College and earned a Master's in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. After completing her studies, she returned to Asia to work in management consulting and corporate strategic planning. Responding to a call to ministry, she then served as a missionary before returning to the United States for theological training. She earned a ThM at Dallas Theological Seminary, where she is now pursuing a PhD in Old Testament. Ahrum’s vision is to bring sound, Bible-based theology to the mission field. She is passionate about connecting Old Testament theology with public issues such as governance, justice, and ethics. Her writing has appeared in Christianity Today and DTS Voice Magazine, and she has presented articles at scholarly conferences, including the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) and the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL). She and her husband, Davis, have five children.
