Adéla Šolcová
Adéla Šolcová is the Volunteer Coordinator for an online Christian ministry in the Czech Republic.
I was raised in a Christian family. I never doubted that God exists in three Persons and that He loves me, but I doubted that my life had any meaning. I recall more than one decision to follow Christ, although I doubted they were real. After a couple of years of struggling with the meaning of my life, reading the Bible, and listening to services, God persuaded me that He created me, that He gives meaning to my life, that He gives me dignity and value, and that He wants to use me in His work on earth. So I decided to follow Him and get baptised to confirm my faith.
The leaders of my youth group truly pushed us to rethink Christian clichés and to develop our personal relationship with God. Another important moment was when I decided not to study music, but to stay in my hometown and be part of the youth ministry. Being part of a new church plant and attending the M4 trainings in the Czech Republic greatly formed my understanding of the Church. Throughout my life, I've met many people whose stories have influenced me and helped me better understand suffering and pain, and I am learning ways to help.
The Forum was a great experience, very encouraging and inspiring. I see great potential in networking with people from other ministries and countries. We can enrich each other in so many ways.
I work part-time for a Christian online platform that helps people explore questions about faith, meaning, and spirituality in a personal and safe way. Visitors can join interactive courses, read inspiring articles, or start private conversations. Volunteer guides accompany visitors by listening, encouraging, and sharing their own faith journey. I work as the Volunteer Coordinator, supporting these guides by training them and ensuring they feel equipped and encouraged in their service. This role is essential to keeping the whole community healthy, motivated, and focused on helping people take the next step towards God.
Since I was 15, I have been part of the leadership team for the middle school kids' ministry at my home church. When I was 18, I led the team as a head leader for a couple of years. Additionally, I was in charge of the secular counselling NGO. Now at the church, I lead worship at Sunday meetings and participate in other ministries.
I am a committed person who finishes what I start. I am keen to learn new things and grow. I honour people with experiences and wisdom. I am a quick learner and willing to sacrifice for God. I believe that our ministry has a great impact on people's lives because they get to know Jesus, which I consider the most important thing in life.
