Adam Gulyas is a junior doctor and PhD student in Hungary.

When did you trust Christ?

It was a gradual conversion for me, starting around 13 or 14 years old, with occasional larger steps along the way. I was captivated by His person, and the journey is ever ongoing with ups and downs.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Children and youth camps, theologically, the Bible Project, C. S. Lewis, attending medical university, joining the local IFES / InterVarsity group, and the conversations I had there. Also, I found joy and instruction in learning the original biblical languages, apologetics, and some theology.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope to gain better management skills, greater productivity, greater devotion, new momentum or inspiration, more technical knowledge, spiritual growth, and to meet the Lord personally or through brethren.

What is your ministry?

I am a junior doctor teaching at the Department of Anatomy and a PhD Student. I am the Chief Secretary of KOMT, the Hungarian Association of Christian Doctors; previously, I was a youth representative there. My current responsibilities include organising annual conferences and committee meetings, and we hold board meetings every month. I am also involved in connecting the generations, since younger age groups are underrepresented right now, though this is changing. I also help with the online platforms of the Association.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was a youth leader in my local church for years. Likewise, for years, I led a Bible study group at my university. We organised weekly meetings and once or twice bigger events every Semester. Additionally, I was on the board of the Hungarian IFES / InterVarsity for two years.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I've already had a decent amount of experience that could be focused and improved. I plan to be active in ministry, both vocational and theological, and I need to be more conscious of ways I can do it right.
