Adam Cenian
Adam Cenian is a scientist by profession but has been actively involved in church leadership roles since becoming a Christian 30 years ago. He has led evangelistic camps, served as a pastor, and been treasurer for the National Board of Baptist Churches in Poland. In addition, he leads the Hevelius Forum for Dialog between Science and Religion in Gdansk. He also lectures at universities and Christian conferences and provides material for Christian television in Poland.
I lead the Hevelius Forum for Dialog between Science and Religion in Gdańsk. We are providing lectures and Bible studies for scientists. Besides, I am preaching in some churches in the region.
I trusted Christ over 30 years ago during an evangelistic meeting at a local church. Then, I understood that my sins could be forgiven, and the strength to persevere in faith did not depend on me.
One year after accepting Jesus Christ, I attended a youth conference in Warsaw. I realized during my time there that I should be involved in Christian ministry. I later participated in camps with IFES in Poland and England, where I learned how to lead evangelistic Bible studies. I am still teaching them.
I want to thank those who enabled me to participate in this excellent European Leadership Forum! I admire the content of the Forum, particularly the Scientists Network, of which I am a part. Several years ago, at the Forum, I received encouragement to start the ministry I am now involved in. Since then, I have received additional spiritual support and refreshment. Speakers I met at the Forum have helped our ministry in Poland, and we continue to invite them to our area for strategic work for the gospel. In addition, the meetings have helped me recognise the extent of the work done in my field.
To help me contribute more to the field of science for the sake of the Polish people in the future. Unfortunately, we do not yet have many publications available in our language. I hope to be involved in translating and writing new books for our people.
