Together we will analyse the text, study the flow of thought, and feel the force of James’s diagnosis of the quarrels and conflicts that arise from disordered desire. This manuscript study will take us from the sobering language of spiritual adultery to the tender invitation to draw near to a God who “gives more grace,” and will press us toward genuine humility and repentance.
