It is now nearly 10 years ago that Tyndale House published its Greek New Testament. In these 10 years it has become for many users the Greek New Testament of choice, in part because of its reader friendly design. Looking back, what are the distinctives of the ‘Tyndale House Approach’ (and is there such a thing)? Are there methodological issues? Are there any theological considerations? Now that the discussion of the variations is about to be published, it is time to take stock of what has happened over the past 10 years and what we can learn from the reception as well as further reflection on the used methodology. The goal of thinking about these questions is to draw lessons that can be applied to wider Evangelical scholarship in Biblical Studies and Theology.
