Career struggles can be a deep source of grief and pain for many people. Job loss and unexpected changes stir career anxiety and distress, which are common sources of suffering, including among Christ followers. Spiritual formation around one’s vocation shapes how we live out our calling in every season of life, reminding us that our work is ultimately an act of worship (Col. 3:17). This session will explore how pastoral counsellors can walk with people through career-related loss and transition, nurturing hope and meaning. Using practical tools such as deep empathic listening, linking choices to theological principles, and leaning into identity characteristics, participants will learn to apply a holistic approach to helping others find renewal and direction in their vocational journey.
