What is your ministry?

I work for an organization called Ifjúságépítők Alapítvány. We are a group of people listening to God’s call in responding to the needs and challenges of youth workers in Hungary. I would like to build a healthy, committed team of fellow-workers and volunteers with a clear vision. I would like to see each member of our team growing in faith and skills and helping us to improve. I believe that as leaders we have a huge opportunity and responsibility toward the ones we lead and that we should be examples in humility and boldness. I believe that our goals (equipping and embracing and empowering youth workers) can and will be best achieved by having strong partnership relationships with other organizations in the field of youth ministry.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

Year-Round Mentoring will help me grow in leadership skills and confidence. I feel the inner motivation and need for mentoring and training to be a better leader for my team and co-leader for my leader. I believe this group is an amazing opportunity to learn together as a community. I believe that with the help of an experienced leader I can discover my weaknesses and strengths and become better in helping others discover theirs, too.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I am currently the HR manager of the team, and I will be co-leader in our organization in two months. I would like to prepare for this role as I have never been at the highest leadership position in an organization before. I will be commissioned and involved in leading gradually, starting with one area first. In another organization (IFES Hungary) I am responsible for five young people who are leaders of youth ministry groups on three different university campuses. I am a mentor helping their growth as mission leaders at their universities.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I often find it hard to make decisions and to lead a group towards a decision. I want to learn to let go of my precision and perfectionism. I want to become more courageous in speaking my mind and in communicating goals that are attractive to others. I want to grow in perseverance.
