What is your ministry?

I am the assistant pastor of probably the largest Baptist church in Bucharest. I am mainly responsible for preaching and teaching, leading the youth ministry department and mentoring. I am also the vice academic dean of the Baptist Theological Institute of Bucharest. Founded in1921, this is the oldest Evangelical conservative theological academic institution in Romania. My main fields of interest are New Testament Studies and Practical Theology (Youth Ministry). More recently I was also given the responsibility of leading the research in the field of Baptist history and heritage.

When did you trust Christ?

I knew that God was calling me into ministry as a young child. I came to know Jesus as a teenager and I testified Him as my Lord and Savior at the age of 17 through baptism in my home church in Arad, Romania. I was convinced of my sinful nature. I knew that without Christ my life would be meaningless. I hoped that He would fulfill in my life His divine work through the Holy Spirit as promised in Scriptures. Ever since that time I have been committed to the Lord.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Being a Baptist Theological High School student in Arad, Romania, was crucial for my spiritual growth. It was there that I made the first steps towards profound spiritual faith. Later, at the Baptist Theological Institute of Bucharest, Dr. James David Dahl mentored me.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I

My previous participation in the European Leadership Forum was a new and refreshing experience. I needed a time in which I could have the opportunity to interact with other believers and ministers from Europe and around the world. It was a blessed time because I had the opportunity to benefit spiritually from their ministry and teaching experience. The Forum helped me better understand my generation's needs and challenged me to review and renew my priorities and responsibilities in ministry. I also found new ways of approaching church matters and how to engage unbelievers more effectively. Now, I am more committed to focusing my energy and resources on teaching the Word of God more relevantly and proclaiming the Gospel effectively in an evangelistic manner to people outside the church.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

In Romania, we need well-trained Christian leaders willing to commit their lives to serving God and others. I am young and ready to serve. It seems God has given me potential, and I love what I do in church ministry, academic research, and teaching. Thanks to a connection made at the Forum, we were privileged to have Professor Bruce Little again at the Baptist Theological Institute of Bucharest teaching a course in Apologetics. Also, we will have him as the main speaker at one of our youth meetings, addressing more than 100 students at Golgotha Baptist Church.
