What is your ministry?

I coordinate the Music Department at Betel Baptist Church Cluj. I work full-time as part of the pastoral staff. I am also part of the musical projects of Jubilate Foundation, which serves the evangelical churches in Romania and the Diaspora.

When did you trust Christ?

I was born and raised in a Christian family. I decided to follow Jesus at the age of 17, at the end of my high school years. During my childhood and youth, I was constantly challenged in school with communist thinking, and I grew up with this idea that we, as Christians, have to be "different from the world."

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

When I finished high school, which was the beginning of my walk with Christ, I thought there was no school yet invented for me. I had such a drive to study music; I was self-taught then. So I took that year off and discovered that Emanuel University was founded in Oradea, about 180 kilometres west of where I lived. I was one of the first students in the Church Music program there. Since then, many great people of God have helped me along the way. I am grateful to God for all His protection and care.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

After attending last year, I have a greater understanding of how to approach the counselling sessions. The resources and the experience of the teachers and the participants helped shape how I see and apply the knowledge in biblical counselling.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was music director in three churches, a voice teacher at Emanuel University, Oradea, Romania, and Gordon College, Wenham, Massachusetts. I am also one of the founders of Jubilate Foundation.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I believe there is more God wants me to learn and apply in what I already work. The pastoral side of what I am doing combined with music is something I sense the need to discover and develop in my ministry.
