What is your ministry?

I was the pastor of a Baptist Church in Poland for 27 years. I was one of three young pastors on a small pastoral team when the church began. I was the senior pastor, involved in several of the church's ministries. I worked with youth and students, apologetics, preaching, teaching, and some counseling. But just recently, I was sent by my church to plant a new church. I also teach hermeneutics in a Baptist seminary and write articles for Poland's national Baptist magazine.

When did you trust Christ?

I became a Christian when I was a teenager at a Billy Graham crusade in Poland. I was then baptized in 1979.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

There have been numerous defining moments in my life as a Christian. For instance, I was discipled for three years by the Navigators, taking several courses from Bible Education by Extension, studying at the Christian Theological Academy,  and being involved in Advanced Training Studies. All these helped me to understand the nature of ministry and deepened my faith.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

The Forum helps me understand the problems I face as a minister. It is also very encouraging and refreshing, especially after a whole year of sometimes hard times in ministry. The Forum’s leadership training was beneficial, practical, and exactly what I needed in my ministry. The teaching on issues related to homosexuality was also beneficial. The Forum is probably the best conference I have ever attended because of its speakers and content and the encouragement I received from people. The Forum helps me to develop my skills in apologetics, as well. The Forum inspired us to create a weekly podcast where we discuss current issues from a biblical worldview. There are anywhere from 300-1000 listeners per week.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I have been a youth leader, choir leader, preacher, and elder. I have led Bible studies and written articles for Christian magazines on Christian life and apologetic issues. Currently, I am a senior pastor.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

It seems to me that what is needed in today's ministry is a more apologetic approach in preaching, teaching, and evangelism. It seems to me that God is using me in these fields, but I see my limits. I need more training in apologetics and preaching.
