At Impact Church, I am on the leadership Board and I am involved in the teaching and preaching. At the Bible College, I teach philosophy and religion and I develop new study programs. Most recently, I developed an MA in Theology and Culture, accredited by the European Council for Theological Education.
I was brought up in a traditional Christian family. Yet, I didn’t make the decision to receive Christ as my personal Savior until I was seventeen. It was the last evening of a national youth conference when, without really having an invitation from the preacher, I knew that God was calling me to take the next step.
Without a doubt my parents have played an important role in inspiring my love for God and for people around me. A specific moment is when I was appointed as a youth pastor in ‘Speranta’ church Timisoara. Having served there for nearly four years I finally became aware that the Romanian evangelical church might be in danger of preaching the gospel in isolation. It was at that moment that I felt God was calling me to do something to bridge the gap between the church and the secularized culture. In this regard, the ability to articulate a Christian worldview became an important task for me. That’s why I went to London and studied for a Masters degree in Philosophy of Religion at University of London. At this point, writings of scholars like Plantinga, Swinburne, Stump and Craig have made a tremendous difference in my spiritual journey.
I would be very grateful if given the opportunity to return to the Forum. I am positive that the networking opportunities and the resources provided by the Forum will be instrumental in the new phase of my ministry with the European Bible College.
I try to introduce different apologetic themes to young adults from Romania, so that they might be able to give a coherent answer when faced with hard, skeptic questions. In order to do that I use public speaking and lead group discussions. Another important feature of my ministry is the opportunity to be a guest speaker in church and youth services. Investing in my ministry will help equip me to continue in all of these areas of work.
