What is your ministry?
I have mentor meetings with two teenage girls from the youth group. I meet with them one-on-one, and the 3 of us do a Bible study together. I'm a leader in the youth group, and I spend every Friday evening whenever I don't have classes with the youth playing games and having fellowship.
When did you trust Christ?
My dad is a pastor, so I grew up hearing about God’s love for me and His sacrifice, but it really came through to me after a church summer camp in 2012. The Holy Spirit touched my heart showed me how sinful I am, and that I'm no better than anyone else. So, I decided I didn’t want to continue living without God in my life. I asked my dad to pray with me, and during that prayer I confessed my sins to God and begged Him for forgiveness and to be my Lord.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
One defining moment was when I went on a gap year in the United States after high school. It was a test of if my faith was really my own, not my parents. Even though I went there to help in a local church, I really struggled with one particular sin and fear of my future because I didn’t know what to do after I would get back home to Poland. My Christian friends helped me a lot during that hard time, showing me love and grace whenever I told them about things that go on in my head and in my relationship with God. They pulled me closer to Him. Also, my dad after I came back to Poland had a big impact on my walk with God. He always encouraged me and pointed to Jesus, whenever the "world" would pull me away from Gods truth.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
It will help me to grow and gain more knowledge in how to serve and help others mature in their relationship with the Lord. It will hopefully equip me to be a better leader and how to serve others better. To meet people and learn from their experience. I want to grow my own relationship with the Lord and have fellowship with other Christians.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
For the last few years I served in my church youth group. Besides that, I try to guide two girls from youth group, meeting with them one-on-one and together. For the last few years I was a member of church camp staff, having small groups with believing and unbelieving youth. Also, before Covid, I was a VBS volunteer in Ukraine, because my church is supporting a small church in Ukraine.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
In my church there is a big need of female leaders, especially for teenage girls. That's why I met the need and became involved in this ministry, but I need to grow and gain more fundamental knowledge of how to make disciples. Some of the girls are ready and willing to step up with their relationship with God and start giving, not only receiving. Also, we have more girls than boys in our youth but more male leaders. There is a big need for leaders that are well equipped to help those girls become more and more mature in their faith.
