What is your ministry?

I am serving as the Baptist church pastor in a small town in Hungary called Komlo. I graduated as a Master of Divinity/Theology in 2014, so I am a "junior" pastor. Roughly 80% of the people who attend our church are over 60. Our goal is to reach the younger generation in the city for Christ.

When did you trust Christ?

It was in 1995. One day my sister asked me about giving my life to Jesus. At first, I avoided her question, but my sins began to convict me after that. So finally, my heart was softened, and I received a new life in Christ.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

In the spring of 2010, God called me to be a pastor when I was learning about the calling of Moses. My theological studies at Baptist Theological Seminary in Budapest also impacted my faith immensely.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I am a church pastor and want to develop my skills in expository preaching. I attended the Forum in 2015 and want to return because it benefited my ministry by growing my knowledge, widening my scope, and developing my skills. I want to continue to grow my teaching skills and understand the Word more deeply and how to expound it relevantly and engagingly in our local context. It is encouraging to meet Christians with the same challenges and problems. I hope to use the resources and partnerships I find at the Forum.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

Previous to being a pastor, I was a youth leader in a church from 2005 to 2010. I was an IFES group leader in Gyor, Hungary, from 2009 to 2010. I have been a pastor since 2014.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I want to widen my scope as a pastor serving God. I want to develop my skills in expository preaching and learn from others who are pastors and preachers. Unfortunately, my financial possibilities are limited, so I need some help to participate.
