What is your ministry?
I work for a charity working in Hungary in youth ministry. Previously, I was involved in student ministry for two and a half years. I was also part of a team responsible for ministry among people above 25. Currently, I am not involved in any other ministry. However, I would like to serve in full-time ministry in one of three areas: in women’s ministry; in creating a platform for Christians in Hungary to discuss questions of our national and global social, political, and professional environment and in the light of the gospel; to create a place for weary Christians and seekers. I am trying to understand which of these directions I should go in and how I might be involved.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I have about one year left in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in my current position. After that my position will probably change. In the meantime, I want to understand what I should do next. I need a mentor to help me in making these decisions and to whom I can stay accountable. I would be grateful to be able to learn from a woman who has experience and who lives in a different context.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I am not in a leadership position within any ministry. At the same time, I work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary in a middle-level leadership position. I am trying to understand how I can be part of God's work in the church, but I also want to understand how I can be part of the wider society as a follower of Christ. I am torn about where to go and what to do. I don’t know if I should stay in public administration and look for a meaningful position there, or if I should leave the public sector.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I would like to understand what I should do with the dreams that I believe I have received from God. What are my responsibilities? How should I strive for the realization of my dreams? Or should I accept my limits and simply wait for God to make a way? I would also like to understand how I should continue in my professional life: should I stay in the public sector or leave to the private sector and stay involved in bigger social issues and discussions less directly?
