What is your ministry?
I have been the youth leader in my church for almost four years now. I have been part of the youth department of our church since 2015. We have a great team that I love to work with. Sometimes I help with worship or devotions in different youth group meetings in Slovakia and Czech Republic. I love to shepherd young people and newer youth leaders in their spiritual lives, helping them to get up on their feet and to walk in faith with the God who is merciful and who cares.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
Through the Year-Round Mentoring program, I hope to receive profound and long-term support to make positive changes in the youth ministry at my church. I would like to learn from "professionals.” I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know other youth leaders and sharing my experiences and faith with them. I am looking forward to learning how to motivate young Christians to stay in the world but not be "of the world.” I would like to gain motivation to trust the Lord even through the struggles that I face.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I am currently in a period of transition. I have been at my local home church for eight years and am currently the youth leader there. I am moving on to start my vicarate as a youth vicar, which means that I am finishing theology studies this year. In my upcoming youth vicar role in a new local congregation, I am going to support the youth leaders and help with youth gatherings for four different groups: older youth, younger youth, confirmees, and Fusion (a mission music choir/band).
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I have much to learn. I would like to be more decisive, taking responsibility for my decisions and not hesitating when making choices. I would like to learn how to delegate to my team more and to not do everything alone. I would like to improve my communication skills and to not forget to let other team members know what is going on.
