What is your ministry?
I am quite involved in teaching in my ministry in the university and in the church. I deliver seminars, workshops, and evangelistic talks to students in the university. I have also taken some courses on Bible preaching here in Spain as a part of Langham Ministries’ involvement with the Lausanne Movement. I really love preaching. I am aware that I need to improve in so many areas, but I can't help but enjoy and love it when I preach and teach the Bible.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I would like to keep practicing my preaching skills so I can improve and be a better preacher. I would love to dig deeper into the Bible with people who love Scripture as I do. I think this is a good opportunity to have some fellowship amongst brothers and sisters who find this ministry as interesting and fascinating as I do. I think this could be a good opportunity to share challenges, joys, and learn from each other for the glory of God. I am excited to learn more about preaching and about the Bible.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I work as a staff worker for the IFES movement in Spain, called GBU (Bible university group). This is my seventh year now in this role. I take care of students, equip them to do mission, train them, accompany them, and help them to plan and evaluate the ministry they do in the university context. I usually teach in churches, both in youth groups and to the larger church body. I am an elder in my church, where I frequently preach the Word of the Lord. I am also in charge of preparing the schedule of the preachers in our church. I lead the youth group in my church and train future youth leaders.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I need to improve my applications and the way in which I explain the gospel. I want the gospel to always be present in my preaching, but in a way that does not seem repetitive. I need to improve my sermon preparation process. I need to be more focused and structured. I would like to improve the way in which I connect the Bible with our contemporary world.
