What is your ministry?
As a member of the leadership team of The Bulgarian Baptist Union – Women’s Department. I participate in the planning and organization of annual women conferences on a local and national level. I communicate with women from different parts of the country to understand their needs and provide resources for women's ministry. My heart always is to help children to know more about Jesus.
When did you trust Christ?
As a university student, I was looking for answers about the meaning of life. I heard the good news for the first time at an event organized by CRU. After that, I found Christian friends, and they shared their faith in Jesus with me. I started to go to church with them and finally accepted Christ as my personal Savior at the end of 2009.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
In 2010 I went to a summer camp for young Christians to share our faith in an unreached region in Bulgaria. It was a particular time when I learned to trust the Lord and saw how He is preparing people's hearts. The local church where I was going after I accepted Christ was the main space for my growth. It provided resources as well as challenges. I had opportunities to participate and organize many events and projects for discipleship and evangelism. I helped with the organization of the Bulgarian Leadership Forum and events with traveling European Leadership Forum speakers. We have learned a lot from Forum speakers like Jerry Root, Tim Kimmel, and Tom and Judy Streeter. A life-changing experience for me was my participation at the Leadership Development Initiative retreat at the English L'Abri.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to be very sensitive about what God is doing and calling me to do in my ministry. My experiences with the Forum have been very refreshing and helped me deepen my relationship with Jesus and renew my vision for ministry.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
As a Sunday school teacher from 2011 to 2015, I organized the annual materials and coordinated the Sunday school teachers' team. I was also a teen group leader in the local church and at a teen summer camp. I have organized yearly women's conferences on the local and national level.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
Women and children are usually considered as vulnerable groups, and they typically are. I have seen many times how God shows His special love and protection for them. I need more training to be better prepared to reach more of those who don't know about Jesus and provide resources and opportunities for those who know Him to grow.
