What is your ministry?

I am the Pastor of a church in northern Albania, in Shkoder. I am the only church leader at the moment. I am teaching almost weekly in church and also still doing youth ministry. I am involved in discipleship with three young men who we hope to be involved in some leadership ( maybe not church leadership) but leadership roles in the church. Much of my time is taken up in bible study and sermon preparation. I am also involved in pastoral ministry and dealing with any situations arising in church. I hope to develop a young man onto the youth ministry team, so I can step down.

When did you trust Christ?

I was born in a Christian family and attended church and youth meetings and camps from a very early age as my parents were active in church, youth groups, and camps. My dad was a church leader. I often asked Jesus to be my savior, but one night alone in my bed when I was maybe ten years old, I wondered what Jesus was doing at that moment. I thought that He was waiting for me to ask Him to be His Saviour. I prayed that He would be, and I have never doubted that he has saved me from that day.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope to gain from my mentor's experience and learn to identify when a program has reached its peak and needs to be revitalised, or the church needs to be revitalised. Maybe different ways we could use to keep worship and prayer fresh and authentic, and relevant

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I am pastoring a church of around 70 people. Recently, my co-pastor had to step down; therefore, I am on my own as a church leader, so we need to move toward appointing new church leaders. I am worried about this and covid and the impact on the youth, many of whom are not regularly attending Sunday morning worship. I teach almost every Sunday morning. I am meeting with three men who are counselors with me as we move through this period of dealing with sin in our congregation. I am trying to develop them onto a leadership team.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

To help us revamp our church service to be more relevant to the youth. I would love to see the youth participating and excited about Christian life inside and outside the church building. Also, to help us revitalise the prayer meeting. We have a good core group of around 20, but some never come.
