What is your ministry?

I am a teacher in the Greek Bible Institute, where I teach the New Testament, theology, evangelism, and apologetics. I also speak at various locations to different kinds of people. In addition, I write a lot – more than 150 magazine articles as well as four books. I have a YouTube ministry to young adults. I am the executive pastor of Community House Damaris, a ministry to victims of sex trafficking.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I want to address scientific issues because there is no one else in my context trusted by the church and caring for God’s people. I want to help our churches avoid anti-intellectual skepticism and an avoidance of the sciences. But I want to do so in a way that will not become an obstacle to the less learned or the weak in conscience.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I am a professor at Greek Bible College and lead a ministry to victims of sex trafficking.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Science was always my passion, but theology got my life! That passion is also evident in my son Mark, who is a physicist. I have been writing on apologetics issues at a popular level and lecturing for 20 years making arguments against naturalism. For me, scientific issues are not peripheral. Our community in Greece is ill-prepared to handle such issues and to pastor university students. I am still in dialogue with unbelievers, and I need to do a better job with apologetics.
