What is your ministry?

I am a chaplain in two prisons in Albania. We work with prisoners and with their families. We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to break the cycle of poverty and impossibilities. Our vision is to have a chaplain and a church in every prison. We want to reach those who need to be equipped with spiritual gifts and for prisoners to use those gifts for the Glory of the God.

When did you trust Christ?

I became a Christian while serving a prison sentence in 2016.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

The story of Joseph has been instrumental for me. Learning how Joseph forgave his brothers after they sold him into slavery transformed me. If Joseph could forgive that, I could forgive others as well, and I could receive forgiveness.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I want to be better prepared for my ministry. I believe that every person that serves the Lord in any way should be prepared. If I want to preach the Gospel and teach God's Word, I need to study it and I need to be prepared. I want to learn some principles for teaching because this is one of the areas in my life where I feel I need improvement. I want to meet other people that have the same interest in teaching and preaching the Gospel. I want to learn from mentors that share the Word of God with righteousness.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

In addition to my ministry as a prison chaplain, I am part of a local church: Assembly of God Durres. I am helping my church to plant a new church near my city. I sometimes preach at this church plant.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve Him in prison. It is a beautiful and challenging ministry. Usually in prison ministry, I have to preach the Gospel and prepare Bible studies for the discipleship group, which requires personal studying and preparation. Sometimes the pastor of my church asks me to preach at the new church plant in a little village near my city. Because my responsibility is big, and because I want to teach well, I need to learn more about preaching and teaching the Bible. I have taken some courses in Bible School, but I need more help. I need to be better organized and more disciplined. I need to learn more about exegesis.
