What is your ministry?
My current ministry revolves around building a faith community, which means being intentional about reaching out to people from outside of church circles. I build relationships through running regular art workshops for elementary age children and we meet at a community center. Also, my ministry is reaching people from diverse backgrounds through art workshops for women. I also do my own art (painting) and publish it on social media. Using art as a tool to build relationships is crucial for me in forming long term discipleship-oriented relationships. These relationships are like stones in building a faith community.
When did you trust Christ?
I decided to trust Jesus with my life during a Christian youth camp. I was moved in my spirit, by the Bible study on assurance of salvation, when I was 17 years old.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
There was a missionary family living in my neighborhood and I made friends with one of their children. While spending time with my friend and her family, I was amazed by their friendly interaction. They cared for each other and that attitude had a major impact on pursuing Christianity for myself.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I am looking forward to stimulating teaching on various topics that will help me see my ministry from a different perspective. I hope to be equipped and inspired to pursue ministry where God’s put me.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
From the beginning of my Christian walk I have been involved in leading many camps/clubs for children and youth. Some of these events include, children/teen camp, Sunday school, kids club, kids art club, kids English club, art for teens, art with ladies, day art camp, creative reading corner, and an open-door ministry. My husband and I have always prioritized these ministries.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
My ministry is largely about discipling children and ladies in their personal walk with Jesus, so investing in me means investing in many that experience ministry with and through me.
