Albert Crespo

I am a Hebrew teacher at IBSTE, a seminary that offers a bachelor’s degree in theology with civil equivalence by the Spanish Ministry of Education. I am preparing a new subject for September: the Pentateuch.
I want to understand the differences between the Roman Catholic institution and the people who attend the Catholic church, yet who read the Bible and want to follow Jesus in an authentic way. I want to understand the key points of difference between Catholicism and evangelicalism.
I have been an elder in a Brethren Assemblies church and a full-time worker in the same denomination for 5 years.
I live in Spain, a context with a Catholic background. Although Spain is increasingly becoming less Catholic, especially among young people and in the region of Catalonia, I find myself among people whose understanding of Christianity is equal to that of the Roman Catholic Church. I hope to be able to be fairer in my understanding of Catholicism and to be able to reach out to the people within the Roman Catholic Church to understand them and help them to come to Christ.
