What is your ministry?
As a pastor, my roles include preaching, leadership, leading a missional community, discipling young men, training people, and counseling couples. I am part of a network of church planters. I also oversee a number of ministries and ministry teams and coach and train pastors and small group leaders in the area of missional communities. I also serve in a few organisations as follows: Arfo (child protection and adoption), GLS (leadership training), and M4(church planting). My roles include leadership, teaching, and consulting.
When did you trust Christ?
I was raised in a Christian family, and I knew all the facts of the Gospel and Christianity. However, I was living in fear because I felt I was not doing enough in my relationship with God. Finally, when I was 13-years-old, all the facts of the Gospel made sense to me, that all that mattered was that I trusted Christ for my salvation. I confessed my trust in Him and Him alone that day.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
When I was in high school, I started to experience the sweetness of Christian fellowship. I became part of a young men's group, and the guys in the group have tremendously influenced my life; they helped me reach the next level in my walk with Christ. We studied the Bible, prayed and fellowshipped together, served, evangelized, and ministered to others. When I was in college, I thought I had my life figured out. I was going to have a career, work for a good financial situation, continue to serve God, and be involved in ministry. In a Christian camp, God caused me to reconsider all of that. He showed me that my heart had the wrong priorities. I loved other things too much, and I needed to repent. He wanted me to serve him, no matter my occupation (in business, the local church, or the mission field). I repented of my misplaced priorities and surrendered my plans to him. The following year, as I was leading a youth ministry, it became clear that He wanted to use me in full-time ministry for the rest of my life.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
Along with teaching that will encourage and renew my vision and energy, I expect to meet people doing the same ministry I do throughout Europe. I want to network, learn from others, and find ways to further advance God's Kingdom.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
When I was in college, I led a youth group in an orphanage in the city for one year. I also led a group of young men in our church for about two years. Then, along with two other young men, I started and led a youth ministry in our church. After that, I went to Bible School in the United States for three years, and when I came back, I continued to lead that ministry for three more years. While in school (Moody Theological Seminary), I was the Chaplain for one year. I also led the team that planted the church I currently belong to and serve. I have been pastoring this church for eight years.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I believe God has gifted me and has shaped me through experiences, relationships, and influences. He is using me in the local church, in the city-wide church, as well as at a national level, to equip, mobilize, train, and coach church planters and church leaders as well as regular church members towards fulfilling our mission to reach people with the Gospel and build Christian communities that display Christ.
