Event Cohort Mentoring

Detailed information about 2020 Forum Mentoring is not yet available but will be posted in the future. Please review the information from the 2019 Forum for a look at the types of mentoring that may be available at the 2020 Forum.

Thousands of Euros are spent annually on events and conferences organised by churches and para-church organisations. We all are convinced that our organised events are needed and good, but often an analysis of the reached goals is neglected and objectives only serve as ideas while often not including any follow-up for long lasting results. Only recently have the first studies of long-lasting impact of events been undertaken, next to measuring the monetary impact. There are some possible tools which can easily be used to evaluate spiritual and cognitive progress and measure behavioural impact as well. The mentoring can help you to find some answers to the following questions:
  • What kind of tools can I implement to measure impact at my event?
  • What are some preparatory steps to take before running an event to be able later to evaluate it?
  • To ensure a long-lasting impact, what could be objectives for each event and what could be some ideas for resources after an event to enhance the learning?
Let´s use our time and resources while running an event for the maximum kingdom impact. For this a talk with a mentor experienced in running events might be a useful resource to take next steps on event impact. Forum Event Mentoring provides such an opportunity.
This type of mentoring offered in the cohort mentoring format.

Evi Rodemann has been involved in creating and organising events for young people and churches locally, nationally, and on the European level since she was a teenager. Mission events have always played a vital part in her own walk with God, but she has also seen how they bring Christians together and mobilise them for a missional lifestyle. As well as receiving training in event management, Evi also earned an MA in European mission with a focus on the impact of conferences. She studied missions in the Netherlands and has worked in India, Africa, and Hong Kong, but her strongest passion remains Europe and helping its young people to find their kingdom role and live missionally wherever God has called them. Until 2016 she directed Mission-Net for nine years and organised four European youth mission congresses. In addition to being engaged in various European networks such as Lausanne and the European Youth Ministry Network, Evi also works part-time in a German aluminium company.
